Nancy Ann Savoia of Concord and formerly of Winthrop passed away at home on January 11, 2024. She was 95 years old. Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Concetta (Testa) and Placido Lagana. A resident of Winthrop for over 60 years, she worked as a seamstress prior to starting her family.
She was the devoted wife of the late Benjamin Savoia and the loving mother of Frances Devitt and her husband Les of Concord, Mary Ellen Murphy and her late husband Phil of Acton and Theresa Scalzi and her husband PJ of Concord. Dear sister of the late Joseph Lagana, John Lagana, Frances Previte, Anthony Lagana and her twin Theresa Martino. Cherished grandmother of Megan Pasquina and her husband Lincoln, Alex Brown, Amanda Miller and her husband Dylan, Kara Murphy, Ben Murphy, Julia Scalzi and Nico Scalzi. Great grandmother of Marcus and Spencer. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
