Rachel (Squitieri) Moretti

Rachel Moretti of Winthrop passed away at the Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea on September 9, 2021. She was 91 years old. Born in Sarno, Italy, she was the beloved daughter of the late Nunzia (Mancuso) and Filippo Squitieri. She resided in East Boston before moving to Winthrop over 56 years ago. She loved cooking, reading, music, dancing and especially loved the beach.

She was the devoted wife of Marcello Moretti and the loving mother of Lisa Pauling and her husband Tim of Walnut Creek, California and Lydia Maniglia and her husband Steven of Merrimack, New Hampshire. She was the dear sister of Sara Lusardi of Stoneham and the late Vincent Squitieri, Louis Squitieri, Assunta DeLucia and Concetta Mancuso. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Jessica, Rachel and Matthew.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM, Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
