Ralph J. Panetta, Jr. of Winthrop passed away at home on October 24, 2020. He was 90 years old. Born in Medford he was the beloved son of the late Mary (Cericola) and Ralph J. Panetta, Sr. He was a graduate of Medford High School and then went on to attend the Dale Carnegie School. He enlisted in the United States Army reaching the rank of Corporal. After his honorable discharge he went on to become a Master Mechanic working at International Harvester. He was also the Manager of Customer Service for State Equipment. He was on the Board of Directors of US Realty Development, LLC. He held the highest rating hoisting engineer license in the State and was also an engineering consultant at the Fort Heath Apartments in Winthrop.
He could fix anything. He loved clocks and could take them apart and put them back together without any instructions.
He was a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks, the Pleasant Park Yacht Club, VFW Beachmont and the Son's of Italy in East Boston.
He was the devoted husband of Rita (Bomarsi) and the loving father of Ralph J. Panetta, III and his wife Lynn of Saugus, Mark S. Panetta and his wife Debra of Saugus and Dr. Karen Panetta Heller and her husband Jamie of Rockport. Cherished grandfather of Christine Panetta, Mark Panetta, Jr., Sabrina Panetta and Benjamin Heller. Dear brother of Thomas Panetta and Anna Mae of Stoneham and the late Theresa Adelizzi and Jean McWilliams.
