Richard Gay Obituary

Richard J. Gay of Winthrop passed away on March 31, 2022. He was 42 years old. Born in Boston he was the beloved son of Richard Gay and his wife Jane and Camille Racca (Rossi). A graduate of Winthrop High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and reached the rank of Sergeant. He was a paratrooper who served in the 82nd Airborne in Iraq earning many citations and campaign ribbons. After his honorable discharge he worked in the carpentry field.

He was the dear brother of Stephanie Petropol and her husband Michael of Albany, New York, David Gay of Winthrop and Andrea Gay of Winthrop. Cherished uncle of Max and Sammie.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service with military honors will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM.
