Richard Lovering Obituary

Richard W. Lovering, Sr. of Dracut and formerly of Winthrop passed away at the Lowell General Hospital in Lowell on October 8, 2021. He was 80 years old. Born in East Boston he was the beloved son of the late Leon and Mary Lovering. He enlisted in the Army and after his honorable discharge he went to work for the Winthrop Police Department, the Federal Police and the Municipal Police. He was also a member of the Masons.

He was the devoted husband of Sandra (Primo) and the late Gertrude (Abbruzzese). He was the loving father of Diane Lovering of Chelsea, Cheryl Lovering-Manfra of Winthrop, Richard W. Lovering, Jr. of Winthrop and the late Donna McCormick and Brenda Lovering. Dear brother of Danny Lovering of Lakeville, Marie Barry, Carol Kgersgard and Lorraine Lovering all of East Boston. Also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with military honors at the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
