Ronald Moses Obituary

Ronald E. Moses of Winthrop passed away at home on November 14, 2020. He was 89 years old. Born in Chelsea he was the beloved son of the late Ida (Feinstein) and Philip Moses. A resident of East Boston for several years before moving to Winthrop in 1961. He enlisted in the United States Navy during Korea and served two years before being honorably discharged as a  Lieutenant Junior Grade. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in organic chemistry from Harvard University and then went to Northeastern University where he earned his Master's Degree. He was employed as a chemist at Gillette where he was Vice President of research and technology.

He was a longtime member of the Winthrop Rotary where he was recently honored with a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a Past President of WCAT, member of the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce and the Winthrop Golf Club where he played frequently. He loved all Boston sports teams and was very active in community affairs, he also loved his German Shepard dogs.

He was the devoted husband of the late Elinor (Vitale) and the loving father of Thomas C. Moses of Winthrop and the late Judith Moses. Dear brother of Anne MacNeil of California and the late Mark Moses and Joan Bourland. Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
