Rose P. (Kane) Hanson

Rose P. Hanson of Winthrop and formerly of Malden passed away at home on May 31, 2021. She was 87 years old. Born in Everett she was the beloved daughter of the late Catherine (McDonald) and Michael P. Kane. She worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the unemployment division. Rose was most proud of her dedication to her children and grandchildren.

She was the loving mother of Donna Hanson of Winthrop, Diane Hanson of Hamilton, Paul Hanson and his wife Nancy of Medford, Peter Hanson and his wife Linda of Melrose, Elaine Wamboldt and her husband Steven of Wilmington, Joanne Zimski and her husband Ed of Palm City, Florida, Anne Marie Hanson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Denice Cotten and her husband Michael of Durham, North Carolina. Dear sister of the late Francis Kane, Patrick Kane, Bernadette Small, Rita Small, Mary Coolen and Dottie Lawless. Cherished grandmother of Steven, Meaghan, Peter, Paul, CJ, Jessica, Kristina, Erica, Kyle, Karina, Emily, Bridget and the late Timothy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 7:00 PM.
