Rose P. Maiolino of West Yarmouth and formerly of Winthrop passed away at the Maplewood at Mayflower Place in Yarmouth on May 3, 2021. She was 93 years old. Born in Winthrop she was the beloved daughter of the late Nunzia (Mollica) and Mario Conti. A resident of Yarmouth she was employed as a telephone operator for New England Telephone and worked in the Yarmouth School System. She loved to play bingo at the Senior Center in Yarmouth and loved to go out and have lunch with friends. She was also a regular at the local Dunkin Donuts where she would go with the "Girl Gang". One of her favorite things in life was to dance and she also loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandkids.
She was the devoted wife of the late Vincent P. Maiolino, Sr. and the loving mother of Vincent P. "Skip" Maiolino of Sandwich, Nancy St. Angelo and her husband John of Swansea and the late Peter V. Maiolino and his wife Lisa of Middleboro. Dear sister of Mario Conti of Winthrop, Marie Hewins of South Yarmouth and the late Ida Conti, Lillian Meyers and Angelo Conti. Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Alexandra and Michael. Great grandmother of Catherine, Nicholas, Jacob and Lucy.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
