Anthony J. Ancillo, Sr. of Fenno St., Revere and formerly of Winthrop passed away at the McLean Hospital in Belmont on April 30, 2016. He was 78 years old. Born in Revere, he was the beloved son of the late Mildred (Ianuzzi) and Amelio Ancillo. A resident of Winthrop for many years, he worked for the Winthrop Highway Department prior to his retirement.

He was the devoted husband of the late Frances (Magee) and the loving father of Anthony J. Ancillo, Jr. and his wife Stacey of Lincoln, Danielle Ancillo of Revere, Paul Ancillo of Winthrop and William P. Ancillo and his wife Lucia of Winthrop. He was the dear brother of June Fiore of Lynn and the late John A. Ancillo, Sr. and Thomas J. Ancillo. He was the cherished grandfather of Adrianna, Olivia, Matthew, Robert, Biancca, Emily, Braylen, Nico and Roman.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
