Mildred Reitano of Walden St., Winthrop passed away at home on January 12, 2017. She was 97 years old. Born in East Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Marie (LaMonica) and Ralph Giorgio. A resident of Winthrop since 1958, she worked as a timekeeper and photographer for the Internal Revenue Service for many years. She was also a past venerable for the Ladies Lodge Son's of Italy in Winthrop.

She was the devoted wife of the late Robert J. Reitano and the loving mother of Anne Marie Coons of New York and Maureen Moro of Winthrop. She was the dear sister of the late Mario, Joseph, Anthony, Albert and Charles Giorgio. She was also the cherished grandmother of Christopher, Stephanie, Michael, Annie and Joseph.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Cross St. section of Winthrop Cemetery.
